hannoverimpuls is the business promotion company of the city of Hanover and the Hanover region. Its main task is to promote the startup, growth and relocation of companies within our region. The focus of our work is on six sectors identified in the Hannover Region as having particularly sustainable growth potential, and major innovation and job creation power:

Our services range from start-up competitions and seminars, the targeted promotion of cooperation projects between industry and the academia to the promotion of positions for trainees. An example in the optical technology sector as the establishment of the LZH Laser Academy for the specific purpose of training and further training technicians across the whole optical technology spectrum. The target groups include the employees of laser manufacturers and users, career changers, and university graduates. The industries it concentrates on include plant engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive, and the automotive subcontracting industry, as well as various medical and medical technology segments. Since 2009 the Laser Academy's task has been continued
by the Laser Zentrum Hannover. The academy is of crucial importance for the development of the laser sector in the Hannover Region because the availability of properly qualified staff is one of the most important success factors for companies in the sector.
In addition, hannoverimpuls provides active support to companies and start-up entrepreneurs in form of attractive measures and initiatives to help them in their expansion of business or start-up plans. hannoverimpuls also makes investment capital available for companies in the focus sectors, even during the start-up phase. The “Plug & Work” start-up and relocation initiative attracts companies and start-up entrepreneurs to our business location every year. This competition provides an opportunity to enjoy rent-free office space and production space in locations linked to scientific centers such as the Laser Zentrum Hannover (LZH), the Hannover Center for Production Technology (PZH), and the Medical Park at the Hannover Medical School (MHH).

In addition to providing funding and assistance to young companies, we also support established businesses: we offer intense advice on subsidies granted by the EU, the Federation, the States and the municipalities for innovative and investing business. External consultation fees can be sponsored partly. The free admission to the Hanover region's business database offers information about potential customers, partners to a cooperation and suppliers.
