The Laser Zentrum Hannover e.V. (LZH) is one of the leading laser research institutes in the field of applied laser technology. This is true both on a nation-wide and international level. With the LZH and other laser firms in the region, Hannover has become the "capital" of laser technology in Germany.
The LZH was founded in 1986 as an independent laser research center to serve as an interface to industry. For more than 24 years, the institute has carried out research, development and consulting in the fields of laser technology, optics and photonics. Based on interdisciplinary cooperation, the LZH has set high quality standards, and plays in the top league of the independent laser institutes, both regionally, nationally and internationally.
