Microliquids GmbH
Brief outlineMicroliquids Ltd. is one of the few commercial providers of systems for the in vacuo generation and handling of microliquids worldwide. What is known as microliquids in science is a beam (1/1000 to 1/10 mm in diameter) that consists of various liquids or liquefied gases. Surprisingly these microliquids remain stable under high vacuum and don’t show phenomenalike evaporation or freezing at certain conditions. Therefore microliquids form key components in actual scientific and industrial research. Main application areas are Life Sciences, Lithography and Microscopy. Since their foundation in 2003 (as a spin-off of the University of Goettingen and two Max- Planck Institutes) Microliquids Ltd. has established a position in more than one market and its customers are located all around the world. Core competencesThe core competence of Microliquids Ltd. is the generation and manipulation of microliquids, with the advantage of long time research activity of the founders in this field. Moreover the existing competences in vacuum and laser technology are very valuable for the transformation of existing technologies into market like products, whereas the microliquids are characterised by high spatial and temporal stability.Product rangeMicroliquids Ltd. offers complete high precision systems for the in vacuo generation and manipulation of microliquids. The products range from standard systems for the generation of water, alcohol or oil beams, but Microliquids Ltd. can also provide even more complex systems for beams that consist of liquefied rare gases. The particular power of Microliquids Ltd. consists of the ability to adapt, modify and advance their patented technology to reach new requirements and application fields in shortest time. Microliquids Ltd. products itself are characterised by its high flexibility, high precision and an extreme compact and robust design. Easy handling is one of the key issues that keeps the customer satisfied. For the optimum operation of the Microliquids Ltd. products we moreover offer service, assistance and training on our systems. R&D operationsMicroliquids Ltd. research and development is closely connected to top-class research institutes and universities to guaranty the advance of the existing technologies.Applications
