Brunswick Technical University – Institute for High-Frequency Technology
Brief outlineThe research at the Institute for High-Frequency Technology deals with novel materials (III/V-, ceramic and organic semiconductors), components, circuits and measurement. Results of our research are aimed at future systems for communication and information.
Today the institute employs approximately 60 persons.
Core skills- Organic and inorganic semiconductors and their (opto-) electronic applications
- Optical spectroscopy
- Preparation and characterization of fluoride-glass materials
- Development and simulation of microwave components and circuits
- THz systems
Co-operationThe activities of the institute are funded by several public institutions like BMBF and DFG. Some projects are supported by the European Union and the VW-Stiftung. There also exist far reaching co-operations with several partners from industry.
R&D operations- Organic light emitting diodes/displays
- Organic lasers
- Organic field-effect transistors (polytronic)
- Organic sensor materials
- Fiber sensors
- Device technology and characterization
- Laser lithography
- Optical fs-spectroscopy
